Venue Description

There isn’t much known about this artwork, other than it was a co-sponsored promotional piece in the form of a matchbook. The various Las Vegas venues participating in the promotion were Union Plaza, Sahara, Desert Inn, Riviera, Flamingo, MGM Grand, Dunes, Hacienda, Circus Circus, Sands, Las Vegas Hilton, Frontier Hotel, Aladdin, Caesars Palace, Stardust, and Tropicana. There was also a matchbook cover that said, “I made it big in Las Vegas,” but the cover artwork does not list any participating venues, so we don’t know if the two matchbooks were related as a part of the promotion.
