Venue Description

The Opera House, along with the Silver Nugget, were bought by Silver Nugget Gaming in January 2007 for $23.8 million. To attract customers, the Opera House held cash drawings, offered low-priced food, and sold $1. 50 beers. For example, daily they served a 16 oz. porterhouse steak dinner for $6. 25 from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM. The casino closed in 2014 and was later demolished; a Dotty’s casino opened on the site.
